Hi everyone, Stan "The Safety Man" here and I want to remind you to think safe!
This week's tip involves falling and flying objects while working on the job site.
Whether you're a worker, supervisor or project manager, you always need to be aware of your surrounding environment.
Here are some General Purpose Tips to follow:
1) Always wear a hard hat when required. The hazard of falling debris overhead is far too great and the chances that even small fragments falling from even minimal distances can prove fatal.
2) Be sure to safely store and secure any building materials in the area to prevent from slipping, sliding or falling over.
3) When working in elevated areas like bridges, high-rise areas, make use of canopies, safety nets and guardrails. This will greatly assist in catching or deflecting falling objects.
